A great start to the new year!
As always, regardless of the score, it’s an absolute pleasure playing against Cirencester RFC. With a close game last year at Cirencester, we knew we had to up our game with the return fixture at home. Changing our game plan is paying off with the backs getting most of the ball and scoring all the points. Not taking anything away from the forwards, who showed great strength and saw Will Flight getting a well deserved Man of the Match.
With all the forwards putting in 100 percent work rate, this allowed captain Mark Newman clean ball to give the backs the time and space they needed to run in 10 tries. Hat tricks from Adam Carter and Sam Hanahoe, one from Ollie Burrows, one from Conor Glassonbury and two from Cameron Atkins.
Cainscross didn’t have all the fun with Cirencester crossing the line 3 times with great team tries, not giving up all game. Special thanks to Logan Chamberlain, Connor Finch, Liam Moss and Jack Racheal for all having a half game in the Cirencester shirt.
