We are absolutely thrilled to announce that Cainscross Rugby Club Minis & Juniors has been crowned Sports Club of the Year 2023 at the first ever Stroud News & Journal Community Awards!

We want to extend a huge congratulations to the Cotswold Lionesses and Great Oldbury Youth FC , who were both formidable finalists in our category. It's incredible to see the dedication and hard work put in by these teams to promote girls' rugby and nurture young football talent in the community. We salute you!
The entire evening was a true celebration of our local area and the incredible projects, clubs, businesses and individuals who work tirelessly to make it a better place. We were inspired by all of the worthy winners across all 14 categories!
This remarkable achievement would not have been possible without the commitment of our extraordinary coaches and volunteers who pour their hearts into our club every single week. You are the backbone of our success, and we are forever grateful for your dedication and passion!
A special shoutout goes to our fantastic parents of whom some have been there every step of the way, supporting our players and us. Your unwavering encouragement and involvement have played a pivotal role in shaping our club's journey. Thank you for being our rock!
Last but certainly not least, a heartfelt applause to our incredible children. Your determination, sportsmanship, and joy on the field are an absolute inspiration. Watching you grow, gain confidence, and become happy, confident individuals is the ultimate reward for all of us. You make us immensely proud!
As we bask in the glory of this remarkable achievement, let's take a moment to reflect on what our little club has accomplished. We have created a thriving community that embodies teamwork, respect, community spirit and a love for rugby. Together, we have achieved something truly special!
Once again, a massive thank you to everyone who has contributed to our success. Your support and belief in our club have propelled us to new heights. Here's to many more seasons and plans for us going forward and we can’t wait! Cheers!
